SUPERIOR METAL DOORFRAMES

 

JDS Metal Doorframes is a proudly Western Australia privately owned manufacturing business. We began back in 2005 with the uniquely styled Regal doorframe, an innovated design to challenge the traditional Deluxe doorframe and offer consumers a real choice in doorframe design.

 

In 2007 JDS introduced two new roll formers to manufacture Split doorframes with a 50mm architrave, not the traditional 40mm, allowing the fixing points to be another 10mm deeper into either brickwork or stud framing.

 

We also introduced a pressed Deluxe doorframe ensuring another quality product to our ever expanding range furthering options to our market. At the same time our patented Knockdown frames in both the Regal and Ten Bend designs came on board. This enabled our customers who used a stud frame upper floor to use the same designed frames as in the lower floor.

 

In 2013 JDS expanded again with the introduction of our Modular frame designed for the contemporary style of homes which were becoming popular and with this we also designed our patented Deluxe Knockdown frame. JDS then released the Negative Detail designed frame for the shadow line designed homes.

As with all businesses JDS needed to continuously grow and improve manufacturing processes and in 2015 we expanded our Commercial Division and increased productivity with the purchase of a turret punch machine as well as automated press machines.

After attending a Builders Expo with our products in 2017, we received requests for an alternative to the Timber Cavity Slider and we listened. Later that year we had our first prototype available and into the market  for trial. In 2018/19 we worked with our builders to ensure any issues were resolved and we are now in full production of our Metal Cavity Slider in the Regal, Deluxe and Modular/10 Bend range of designs.

 

Our focus at JDS Metal Doorframes is purely on supplying quality metal doorframes to our market and providing the best customer service. We are proud of our achievements but will not rest on our laurels.
